Oh 'Dem Bones...

Updated: Jun 5, 2022

Bone Broth is fantastic for your dog! Helps digestion, growth of healthy fur, skin and nails, also aids joint pain and inflamation. Easy to make by following these instructions...

I use a slow cooker but you can boil them up as well. 1kg of bones (organic, grass fed preferably as more nutritional value) marrow is good and some chicken feet for good measure, 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 or 2 cloves of garlic (optional), you can also add some carrots and spinach at the last hour of cooking for more yummy goodness.

Add bones to slow cooker with apple cider vinegar and fill with water to cover bones and add garlic, put on low for 12-24 hours topping up with water to keep above the bones. The bones should look lovely and chalky, BIN THE BONES do not give your dogs the cooked bones. Let cool slightly, poor through sieve and you can keep it up to two days in the fridge or freeze in portions and defrost when needed. Add to dogs food or as a drink (not to replace their fresh water source). Smells soooooo goooood!!!....
